Arrest warrant issued for Georgia standout and potential top NFL draft pick Jalen Carter

Jalen Carter is now wanted. Athens-Clarke County police issued a warrant for the former Georgia defensive tackle's arrest earlier today. According to reports, Carter is wanted for reckless driving and racing. This charge is coming from the same night of the fatal accident that took the lives of teammate Devin Willock and recruiting staffer Chandler LeCroy. On the night of the accident (Jan. 15), Carter informed law enforcement that he had zero involvement with the crash and it was assumed that LeCroy lost control of the vehicle with no outside factors. However, with this news, it seems that in the Ford Expedition, LeCroy crashed while racing Carter. Furthermore, the toxicology report for LeCroy came back and she was more than twice the legal limit of alcohol consumption.

To many, this comes as a surprise. However, some had begun to question if Carter had character issues. Analyst Todd McShay and many others assumed that Carter's issues revolved around the field and the locker room. If today's news true, other questions about carter could begin to surface.

“That will be the big discussion." McShay said on SportCenter Special. "It’s not about his talent, his size or his explosive take off or finishing as a pass rusher, it’s about the character and do we want to bring that guy into the building.”

Nothing further has been discovered from this massive turn of events during the beginning stages of the NFL Draft Combine. However, Carter is not present for his media appearance and it's unclear what will happen next.
