Dak Presscot struggles revealing harsh truth about playoff chances

Every year cowboys fans across the country hope and believe that this will be the year America's team will return to the height of their glory and be the team they were in the 90s. And although their record, along with last night's 27-13 victory over the Titans, says otherwise, the Cowboys are in serious trouble.

Over the last six games, Dak Prescott has thrown ten interceptions. TEN. I'm not saying Dak is the worst QB in the world; what I'm saying is that he is going to be the reason this season ends like every other Cowboys season since... I've been alive. I hate to sound like an old talking head media personality here, but when playoff football starts, quarterback play matters more than ever, and the way he's playing right now doesn't win a SuperBowl, NFC Championship, Divisional round, or even Wildcard game. I mean, we saw what happened last year...

What has to sting the most for fans of the Star is that the team is loaded. They have a top defense and a plethora of weapons on offense, but the one person they're paying is living up to the price tag. Imagine if you bought an iPod, but it didn't let you play music. That's why you bought the iPod. Looking ahead, Dak is owed 60 million over the next two years. 60. That means when it comes time to keep the pieces together, the Cowboys are going to have to let talent walk to keep their QB on the payroll. Not good.

It's not all doom and gloom for the Cowboys, though. I know my assessment was harsh, but we know Dak can play at a high level. Unfortunately, things seem to be heading in the wrong direction, and with the playoffs around the corner, all I can say is... good luck Dak.
