We head into the newly revamped Atlanta motor speedway this week and it enters as a wild card race. WIth it being a superspeedway race it allows for almost anyone in the field to win.
Four weeks into the season we have already seen a surprise winner and a repeat winner. Here are some drivers to keep an eye on for Sunday.
Joey Logano
At this point Joey Logano is not only one of the best active drivers in the sport but he also is one of the best of all time. Logano is one of the better Superspeedway drivers in the sport right now. He has the aggression to make big moves but also the experience to make smart decisions. Joey Logano wants to defend his title by winning early in the season, I think Logano could get the job done on Sunday.
Austin Cindric
Cindric has not won since the 2022 Daytona 500. With the wild card factor of superspeedways, Atlanta might just be what Cindric needs. He only has one top-20 finish so far this season. He needs to start putting together good runs. Cindric may shock people and find himself back in victory lane this weekend.
Ricky Stenhouse
Ricky put his name back on the map with his Daytona 500 victory. Stenhouse has three Cup victories including this year’s Daytona 500. The other two victories came in 2017 when he won two Superspeedway races (one at Talladega and one at Daytona). He won two races in his only other year winning in the series, maybe history can repeat and Stenhouse gets another superspeedway win.
