NFL Playoffs picks: predictions for every game in the divisional round from the P&P crew

The divisional round of the NFL Playoffs will begin this Saturday with two opening games, followed by the final two on Sunday night. The eight teams that makeup the remains of what has been a long season poses an interesting scene of possible upsets and juggernaut matchups. While we won't know who the final four teams that will advance to championship weekend are yet, here's what the boys from P&P think.

Chiefs vs. Jags

Josh's pick - Chiefs

"Despite the feel-good story that is the Jaguars, you're not coming back down 27 against the Chiefs. Although I expect the Jags to come out to a better start, the Chiefs are about a billion times better than the Chargers."

Pat's pick - Chiefs

"At this point it's so hard to bet against the Chiefs winning a game in the playoffs. The Jaguars are off an emotional comeback win, and they will probably stick around in this game. Patrick Mahomes is just too much of an X Factor to pick against. There is a reason why he will win his 2nd Most Valuable Player award. The Chiefs, an experienced team will take care of business."

Jack's pick - Chiefs

"I'm taking the Chiefs, this one should be pretty obvious. Kansas City is an 8.5 point favorite over the Jags despite them clutching up against the Chargers last week. The Chiefs have the No. 1 passing offense in the league. Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and Jerick McKinnon are big names and big players in this matchup. I like Trevor Lawrence and Christian Kirk looks good, but I don't know if they'll be able to come out on top."

Eagles vs. Giants

Josh's pick - Giants

"The Giants beat the Eagles in a close game. If you thought that the Vikings were frauds, just wait. On top of that, Danny Dimes is an elite quarterback. Now that the "Boat Curse" is broken, there's no telling what this Giants team could do."

Pat's pick - Giants

"The Eagles didn't look good in Week 18. Yes, I know they still locked up the number one seed and got extra rest for guys like Jalen Hurts who were hurt. The Eagles felt like they peaked in the middle of the season, while the Giants are coming off a playoff win where Daniel Jones looked really good. Maybe It's recency bias, but I'm taking the New York Football Giants to win."

Jack's pick - Eagles

"Going with Philly on this. The Eagles defense is top tier and ever since their 2018 title, I've quietly rooted for them, when I can. Miles Sanders is having a great year, finishing the regular season with over 1,200 yards on the ground. However, Jalen Hurts is playing with an injured shoulder, so we will see."

Josh's pick - Bills

"The Bills SMOKE the Bengals in a game that should be close but won't. Picture this; the Bills' offense runs out of the tunnel, fans are cheering and the announcer goes, "and now returning to Buffalo, number three, DAMARRRRRR HAMLINNNNN." Chills. Plus, the Bengals almost lost to the Ravens, and speaking as a Ravens fan, they had issues."

Pat's pick - Bills

"Both the Bills and Bengals did not look great last week, barely winning against back-up QB's. Both teams have top tier QB's so either team winning wouldn't be a complete surprise. The Bengals offensive line is just too beat up. I know that Joe Burrow was still able to lead them tio a Super Bowl last year with a bad offensive line but I think that this time is different. Bills win in Buffalo and travel to Atlanta to play the Chiefs next week."

Jack's pick - Bills

"This one is tough, but I am going with Buffalo. It will be tight and close for both teams. Josh Allen and Joe Burrow are great Qb's, but I think that #BillsMafia is ready to finally go all the way and show out for this one."

Cowboys vs. 49ers

Josh's pick - 49ers

"The 49ers may be 3.5-point favorites, but they should be 15-point favorites. We've already seen Dak get exposed against good defenses this year, and there is no better defense than San Fransisco. Good luck Jerry."

Pat's pick - 49ers

"Brock Purdy still is undefeated in the NFL and Dak Prescott is off one of his best performances recently. This should be a good matchup to watch. At some point, I think Brock Purdy will have a bad game. The 49ers' roster might be the best roster left in the postseason, they come out on top against the cowboys."

Jack's pick - 49ers

"Like the Bills and Eagles, the Niners have an amazing defense with the likes of Nick Bosa and Arik Armistead, just to name a few. Rookie quarterback Brock Purdy has also stepped up and looked good, at 67 percent completed attempts. Let's also of course not forget about the man himself, CMC. I don't hate how the Cowboys look and Dak has improved, but I also love seeing Stephen A. Smith in a cowboy hat with a cigar..."
