Nick Chubb Likely Out for Season

Nick Chubb lies down on the field after injuring his leg against the Pittsburgh Steelers

Nick Chubb was carted off not even a minute into the second quarter of the Browns Steelers game tonight after suffering a horrifying leg/knee injury.

Minkah Fitzpatrick, the Steelers safety who collided with Chubb claimed to have heard a snapping sound among impact and ESPN analyst Troy Aikman said, “It’s as bad as you can imagine.”

ESPN’s Monday Night Football broadcast did not show a replay of the tackle, but it has surfaced on social media in slow motion and is hard to watch.

With this amount of injury, the Browns fear he will be out the remainder of the season. As he departed the sideline, Steelers fans chanted his name showing care and sympathy for the running back despite being on the opposing team.

The Browns had a high ceiling coming into this season with of course Chubb, but also strong receivers in Elijah Moore, Amari Cooper and Deshain Watson at quarterback. Tonight’s injury will no doubt put a damper on their season, and best of luck to Chubb in his recovery.
