The Baltimore Ravens will win the Super Bowl because of Ray Rice

This year’s Ravens team is very similar to their 2012 Super Bowl team.

On December 31, the Baltimore Ravens brought back Ray Rice as the legend of the game. Whether you agree with the situation or not, it found Ray Rice in a familiar place, in front of Baltimore Ravens fans.

Ray Rice’s last touchdown scored at M&T Bank Stadium was in 2012. the year they went to the Super Bowl.

Rice scored that touchdown in the second to last week of the regular season against the New York Giants.

This year, Rice was honored in the second to last regular season game. In 2012, the Ravens wore their alternate black jerseys. And in this year’s second to last regular season game against the Miami Dolphins, the Ravens also wore their alternate black jerseys.

The similarities don't stop there. Going into the last week of the regular season in 2012 the Ravens already had the AFC North Title locked up. The same thing happened this year.

On paper the Ravens have a much stronger team this year than in 2012. The Ravens don’t have players like Ray Lewis and Ed Reed to rely on but they do have the number 1 ranked defense to help get them the Super Bowl.
