The Ravens can wear Black Jerseys in the Playoffs

Writer: Patrick CassatPatrick Cassat

I’ve seen discussions on Twitter/X this week about how the Baltimore Ravens need to wear their alternate Black jerseys in the playoffs. Originally I thought this wasn’t possible but it is!

The NFL allows teams to wear alternate jerseys once during the playoffs. The rule also allows you to wear alternate jerseys up to three times in one season.

Typically the Ravens max out their alternate jerseys during the regular season, whether it’s the black jerseys or the Color Rush jerseys.

This year the Ravens have only worn the black jerseys twice, against the Bengals and the Dolphins. This means they still have the option to wear an alternate jersey one more time.

They would have to do it in the next two weeks. The NFL does not allow alternate uniforms in the Super Bowl except for special occasions.

The Ravens could risk trying to save the black jerseys for the Conference Championship game or they could potentially wear them this weekend against the Texans.

If the Ravens do wear their black jerseys I hope they pair it with their purple pants.

According to Ravens Uniform Tracker the black jersey/purple pants combination is undefeated.

For myself it doesn't matter what jersey the Ravens decide to wear, as long as it means they win. (But Seriously, let's not wear mustard pants again).
