NFL Week 2 begins this Thursday in a battle between the Vikings and Eagles on Amazon Prime. The birds won their season opener against the Patriots 25-20 while the Vikings were upset by Tampa Bay in a close 20-17.
This will without question be a close game, and Vegas agrees with a spread of only -7 in favor of the Eagles. Minnesota is looking to redeem themselves this early in the season while Philadelphia wants to keep the streak alive.
I’m going to go with the Purple and Gold on this one. I think both are solid teams led with two talented quarterbacks in Kirk Cousins and Jalen Hurts, but after week 1 Minnesota is hungry. Justin Jefferson is obviously a star, recorded nine passes for 150 yards last week.
The Eagles also aren’t looking too hot when it comes to injuries, missing running back Kenneth Gainwell due to rib injury as well as two key players on defense.
This game will be a back and forth tennis match if we’re talking over/under. I’m taking the over here as I could see it possibly going into overtime or at least down to a field goal.
Here’s to week 2 of NFL football.
