Week 1 Power Rankings: Can the Cowboys make it to one?

10. Browns

Some people are saying that the Browns QB situation has a massive question mark... I disagree, I think we know exactly what the Brown's QB situation is: a massively overhyped and overpaid player who is one allegation away from never playing again. That being said the rest of the team appears to be very good. In AFC North tradition, having a great defense and great run game will likely continue to get the job done.

9. Chargers

I really didn't want to put the chargers on this list strictly because I don't buy into the hype. Herbert was, for like 24 hours, the highest-paid QB ever, and he's never won a playoff game. Their WR room is built out of glass, and head coach Brandon Staley is like a computer (but not a new one, one of the old ones that didn't have access to the internet). But my perception of the Dolphins is very high, and for them to play the way they did against a stellar opponent, I guess they might be okay.

8. Chiefs

The Chiefs proved this week they are two players away from being not just a mediocre team but a BAD team. Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce are the Chiefs, and apart from those two, they have no depth on the offensive side of the ball. Their run game looks rough, and their weapons are mid. That being said, as long as Patrick Mahomes plays spectacularly, which I anticipate him doing, the Chiefs will still be better than pretty much the entire league, aside from seven teams.

7. Jaguars

Trevor Lawrence is that guy, it appears, and with Calvin Ridley giving him a legit number 1 receiver, this team's ceiling is the roof. Now, they didn't play perfectly, and they did let a rookie QB ball out on them, but I'm anticipating big things in a division that, let's be real, might have three legitimate contenders... for the number one overall pick.

6. Lions

Holy crap, the Lions are actually good.

5. Cowboys

We've seen the Cowboys start hot before. I expect them to be a top-five team until anything actually matters; then, we'll see. Terrible coaching having Trey Lance as your third string, though. He's got more potential than Dak, and I think everyone knows that. For the time being they're five.

4. Ravens

Ravens are four, and there is no bias here. Lamar played terribly, and they still balled. Once Mark Andrews is back in the mix I have no idea how you stop all of their weapons. Losing Dobbins is a massive hit, but the RB depth on that team is the best in the NFL. This team can do some massive damage if they get rolling.

3. Eagles

Nothing brings me more pain than validating all of the clowns that live in Philadelphia, but unfortunately, their team doesn't suck. That's as far as I'll go.

2. Dolphins

Not sure what Mike McDaniels put in his vape pen this week, but he has the Dolphins balling. If Tua does indeed know how to fall down, they might have a real shot this year. Tyreek Hill legitimately might have 50,000 receiving yards, which would be tough to stop.

1. 49ers

Brock Purdy is that guy, apparently. And when your star QB isn't even making $1,000,000, it turns out you can have a lot of good players on your team. It is going to be super sad when this team inevitably loses everyone to injury :(
